INTRODUCTION
“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint…” (Proverbs 29:18a) God has given His church a special vision and direction. Therefore, He has also given our church a special purpose and plan in the Seattle Area. This is the common goal of all church-building members. With a common goal, we will not run aimlessly, and will not waste our human and financial resources. Every new building needs a blueprint in order for it to be constructed properly. It is the same for mature life building. As it is written in the Bible, God has given specific instructions for building the Tabernacle and the Temple .
I. The Tabernacle
“The Lord said to Moses….Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.” ( Exodus 25:1~9 ) Therefore, Moses built the Tabernacle based on specific blueprint given by God and not by his own imagination!
II. The Temple
“David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement. He gave him the plans of all that the Spirit had put in his mind. ‘All this,' David said, ‘I have in writing from the hand of the Lord upon me, and he gave me understanding in all the details of the plan.'” (1Chronicles 28:11~19 ) The temple built by Solomon was not out of his own creation but by the blueprint given by God!
Church is a living organism. A purpose-driven church seeks balance in 5 areas: worship, connect, grow, serve, and reach. A healthy church will produce healthy members. If the church is healthy, it will grow naturally. Without balance, the church will become unhealthy and stop growing. Without a common vision or direction, we will spend unnecessary time and energy to construct and de-construction programs. This will eventually drain our limited resources.
We praise the Lord that He has placed such a vision in our pastors and core members. Through our prayers, God has started working among us to be part of the Great Commission and the Great Commandment given to us. We have decided to become a Purpose-Driven Church in the Greater Seattle Area to evangelize the gospel of Christ. “Mature Life Builder Handbook ” will systematically train each member to become unified soldiers of Christ through worship, connect, grow, serve and reach, to build God's Church.
We pray for God's constant watch over us. For it is written, “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” Psalms 127:1 ) By having a common vision and applying the “Mature Life Builder Handbook” in our church, we trust we will train great spiritual leaders for God in a few years.

∼ The Great Commandment ∼
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:36∼40)
∼ The Great Commission ∼
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19∼20)
