Vision:
We wish to learn to love by means of: building relationship and community specifically centered about God's love, manifestation of the church's overall vision to be “a purpose driven church that glorifies God by sharing God's love to the un-churched and training them into devoted followers of Jesus Christ,” specifically in the contexts of the college campuses of the members as well as workplaces, including graduate students as well as young working professionals who wish to take part.
Age range:
Years 18-25 with an uncertainty of two years.
Abstract:
In an attempt to build maturity and relevant spiritual and intellectual independence regarding living, holistically, we shall meet on a regular basis (once a week) for a majority of the year (an estimated fifty of the fifty two weeks in a year). Heuristic approaches will be used whenever possible, and it is to be understood that all the following is done assuming the presence of God, the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, and God's faithfulness in addition to many other pertinent known aspects of God, and above all, the love of God.
Modes of Community:
Participation in church wide events/activities/studies.
Worship in the form of music.
Bible study.
Invitation of a guest speaker.
Serving a community together.
Taking the initiative to generate opportunities for interfellowship. (approximately once every other month)
Other miscellaneous activities which promote and practice the loving of others and God in the spirit of worship, and the advancement of the glory of God.
A general template for fellowship meetings:
A “regular” Friday meeting, spanning approximately 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with uncertainties of an hour.
5:00 PM a 7:00 PM
Prepare dinner and eat together. The purpose of this time is to allow a means of fostering fellowship between members of fellowship who otherwise may not interact with each other on a regular basis throughout the week.
7:00 PM a 9:00 PM
The main meeting Mode of Community. One of the listed items from the above list will be implemented during this time, however, in the case of “Other miscellaneous activites,” meeting times and needs that may arise due to the context of the activity may affect the form the weekly meeting takes. Selection of activity/activities from the Modes of Community is not exclusive within the span of a single meeting.
Needs:
Each week, a designated individual is to make appropriate plans and preparations regarding the fellowship's weekly regular dinner time. Monetary needs will be roughly twenty-five dollars per week.
A need for transportation may arise for certain members of the fellowship. Accordingly, those able to provide of plan for the providing of transportation should allocate resources or make arrangements for providing needed transportation.
